Rare Rohmar bisque shoulder head fashion doll, circa 1870 The pale pressed bisque head with fixed blue glass eyes, finely painted lashes and brows, closed mouth and later blonde wig, flange neck joint to bisque shoulder plate and kid leather body with leather over wood tenon joints at knees and green oval label to chest, wearing original gold tartan silk dress with blue edging and applique flowers, (hairline crack to forehead, both hands restored, dress distressed in places), 43cm (17in) tall.

A Madame Rohmer bisque shoulder-head fashionable doll with fixed deep blue eyes, closed mouth, original skin wig and cork pate, kid body with chunky bisque lower arms, wearing black and green check silk skirt, black silk grosgrain overskirt and jacket trimmed with deep fringeing, gilt metal bow broach and fob watch, underwear and brown velvet hat trimmed with feathers and diamonté drops en tremblant –13¼in. (33.5cm.) high, with circular blue ink body stamp reading Cremer Junior MAKER with indecipherable address, probably 210 Regent Street (one tip of little finger damaged)

RARE FRENCH BISQUE POUPEE BY ROHMER, WITH SWIVEL NECK & GLASS EYES. Marks: None. 16”. Pale bisque swivel head with flat-cut neck socket on bisque shoulderplate, plump facial features, neck articulation allowing 90 degree swivel, inset almond-shaped cobalt blue glass eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, multi-feathered brows, closed mouth with pale pink accented lips, original cork pate and blonde mohair wig, kid poupee body without gusset joints, separately-stitched fingers, cream silk taffeta bridal gown, antique stockings and leather boots. Commentary: Circa 1860 poupee with palest fine bisque, wonderful facial expression and deeply-modelled features, dramatic almond eyes, sturdy kid, inherent faint firing mark corner of right eye.

Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, large blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes and arched feathered brows, rose-blushed eye shadow, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, unpierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, hair-stuffed kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips and knees, kid-over-wooden upper arms, bisque arms to above the elbows. Condition: generally excellent, fine restoration to three fingers. Marks: Mme Rohmer Brevete SGDG Paris (stamp on torso). Comments: Leontine Rohmer, circa 1865.
